What Is Rock 'n' Kids?
In 1995, oursourced classes and activities for kids were a novel concept, so Jamie's new venture, Rock 'n' Kids took off right way. Her company brings 30-40 minute music and movement classes for 1-5 year olds to park districts, preschools, childcare centers and conducts private events like birthday parties and corporate functions. They service 60-70 locations across the Chicagoland suburbs and strive to be the best at what they do. Here's a flyer they graciously shared with our readers:
A Stand Out Experience for Tots
While getting the word out in the beginning was fairly easy, today there are a lot more options for outsourced education for kids. Despite the vast amount of activities out there, Rock 'n' Kids has remained a staple in Fox Valley and throughout the suburbs by being committed to delivering the best experience for kids and providers.
"This is all we do, so we put all our efforts into making it high quality and great!" - Jamie Puffpaff
Here are 5 ways this fun program stands out:
Kids will likely never take the same class twice. This is because each Rock 'n' Kids session is based on an ever changing theme, which is not repeated for 4-5 years. For example, a theme could be "All Around Town" or "Taking a Trip to the Zoo." The variety ensures a unique experience every session.
2. Holistic Education
Children experience a wide spectrum of educational components in one single class, including music and rhythm, imagination, fine and gross motor skills, sensory play, socialization (ex. sharing) and academic learning (ex. colors, numbers).
3. Superior Instructors
Jamie has set a high standard when it comes to her staff. She takes the time to find highly committed, talented team members and then takes 3-6 months to fully train them before they teach independently. Because of this, their organization has a long standing reputation for delivering quality programs.
4. Structured Programs
The Rock 'n' Kids program is not free play, but it is fun. Classes take a highly structured teach-through-play approach that ensures maximum educational benefits. However, the kids are having such a great time, they aren't even aware they are learning!
5. Locally Owned & Operated
Jamie's company is not a franchise, she is the sole owner. She's a local resident, mom and now grandmother who still remains the heart and soul of the company. She pours her passion into the business and, given the longevity of the company, it shows.
